Well, it indeed has been to long since i updated you online journal. I have been quite busy as of late. It is my friend Benoits last week here before he heads off to grenoble for the week so I have been hanging out with him a lot! How can I put some sense and order to this past week. Last Friday I went out to an exposition over at the art museum here. I couldn’t believe what was there. How can that be called art. It was an exposition of Vito … and it was modern art. It was neither sculpture nor painting though. There were some vulgur video’s, and some weird music and the artist talking about his life or something. I think he is more concerned about making noise than making art. Art for shocks sake can often miss the point of art. This week I also went to the palace of justice here in Nantes to watch some of the cases being tried. It was real fascinating, but I wish I could have understood more of it. It is hard to hear people when there backs are to you. I also started my teaching intership this week. It was quite cool although I had to roll out of bed at 6:30 wed. morning. Oh that was painful. I worked for 2 hrs with 5 students between the ages of 20 and 24 on oral comprehension and on speaking skills. I am excited to continue with the work throughout this next semester. On Wednesday evening I went to l’aumônerie which is a place for catholic students in Nantes. It was cool to actually meet some young French people who are not family. Well, I hope I can take some more pictures sometime soon of all the stuff I am visiting. Send me an email sometime friends!
